About me:

My name is Scott M Hill. Born and raised in the Great Pacific Northwest. Web designer, illustrator and designer by trade. My main hobbies conveniently are those same things. I enjoy movies and puzzles.

About the site:

This is my central webspace and personal presence on the web. I never seem to have time to build a complete personal site. I built this site as a framework rather than a static or semi static site. The structure and content is fully modular and database driven. The layout/design is driven by a couple of stylesheets.

About the infrastructure:

PHP/MYSQL drive the core of the site. Most of the configuration is stored in the database. Most all display elements are driven by functions. The content, side content, etc... are all generic functions. Configuration is passed down to the pages to allow top level control of everything. The individual pages really don't function by themselves. The whole thing can be dropped in another location, minimal changes can create a whole new site.

Also this time around my goal was to make it as robust and detail oriented as I could. Often as I build, I will think of things that I should do or would like to do on a future site. Here I have included as many as possible.
